Pay direct debit, Viking KAPAP is a professional school

Q: How much is a class?

£35 per month via direct debit

We like to keep things simple, we like to teach martial art and not chase people around for payment. So it’s a simple NO CONTRACT direct debit. Takes two minutes set up and easy to cancel if you wish to stop training. You are also welcome to train at our other local Viking KAPAP for no extra charge. Sorry, we don’t take cash payments.

When training self defence, boxing gloves are an important piece of equipment

Q: What equipment / clothing do I need?

We don’t expect you to buy everything at once but you will need to buy boxing gloves, a gum shield, groin guard, shin instep protectors and a BJJ/Judo heavy Gi. Don’t go rushing out and buying stuff until your settled in training.

The difference between KAPAP and Krav Maga - No brain No Kapap, no groin no Krav Maga

Q: What’s the difference between KAPAP & Krav Maga

Krav Maga is a generic term to describe basic Israeli martial arts. KAPAP is distinguished from Krav Maga by Avi Nardia’s philosophy and depth of knowledge. It’s a concept based on 5 prinicples: Relative position, two points of contact, balance displacement, push/pull and high and Low.

Self defence training in Norwich with Viking KAPAP

Q: Do you provide female only classes?

No, we actively encourage women to train with men

Why, because it’s always best to train with individuals strong and taller than you so you can soon find out what works and doesn’t. We don’t believe in building false confidence…

We accept students from 16 years old and above to train self defence

Q. Do you teach children

Sorry, KAPAP is for adults but we will consider mature teenagers who are over the age of 16. Due to the nature of the training content will be unsuitable for juniors.

KAPAP Grom firearms training

Q. Why do we teach firearms

Viking KAPAP is part of a large international group under the Avi Nardia Academy. Due to the nature of what we teach, we deal with military, private security and Police units around the world. So it’s important we know our stuff.

Firearms disarming is part of KAPAP training and it’s important to have in depth handling, range safety and can teach how to shoot.

I have only had two lessons but I am totally amazed at what I have learned already. Brett is a completely dedicated teacher, and I am proud to be part of his group . I would definitely recommend that people try theses classes , you will be surprised at what you don't know about self defence, and about all the things you need to know.

Practical survival skills - Bushcraft

KAPAP is a survival system and run workshops with experts in the survival field with Alex Mair (Ex Royal Marine) and Fraser Christian (Coastal survival) school.

Edged weapons awareness & disarming

Learn how to spot a potential concealed weapon (awareness). How to react/respond to a robbery and last resort attempt a disarm.

Firearms handling & disarming

At Viking KAPAP we insist that you learn basic firearms handling. Students will learn how to make a weapon safe, understand the mechanics of a pistol and the difference between different pistols and revolvers.

We train with VCRA compliant (blank firing pistols and BB pistols for realism) pistols. In class you will be taught Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's). How to react in a robbery/hostage scenario, evaluate the situation and respond without risking injury to yourself and others.

Remember, their is no 100% guarantee a disarm will work. Is a calculated risk based on the situation and how it develops. Attempting to disarm someone is a last possible resort.

Street grappling

We teach practical easy to learn self defence drills on the ground. KAPAP system teaches Brazilian Jiu Jutsi (Machado school) as a self defence not a sport.
